About Me

I hold a Master's Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT) and am currently training at the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy (TIRP), a graduate psychotherapy training program accredited by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT) and abide by its code of ethics. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families and am a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT)

Prior to opening private practice, I've spent the past six years working in children's mental health. My recent work has been with the Integra Program at the Child Development Institute, an accredited children’s mental health agency that provides evidence-informed, therapeutic programs and services to children and families who are dealing with mental health issues complicated by Learning Disabilities (LD). As a mental health clinician and 3rd degree black belt in Karate, I facilitated Integra's innovative martial arts-based therapeutic groups - Integra Mindfulness Martial Arts (MMA) and Young Warriors (YW) - which combine martial arts training with mindfulness meditation, yoga, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and body-based emotion regulation techniques.

Prior to my time at Integra, I spent three years at the Sick Kids Centre for Community Mental Health (SKCCMH) serving children and families with a variety of social, emotional and behavioural challenges via Psychodynamic Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy and Group Therapy.

My eclectic background allows for me to work with a wide range of individuals, couples, groups and families.

The basis for my private practice work with adults is Relational Therapy.
